HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

Change message presented to users when creating an event greater than 24hours or allow events greater than 24hours

Create a multiday event in a community. When a user attempts to create an event greater than 24hours, a message is presented to the user that they cannot do so. However, they can create a repeating event that is similar to a multiday event. We would like the error notification presented to mention that to the users. Currently, the error notification only says that they cannot create an event longer than 24 hours and is not intuitive. We would like to see the message include something that tells users to uses the "repeat" function for multiday events. An even better solution the customer would like to see is allowing events greater than 24hours natively. Users should be able to create events that last more than 24 hours.

Furthermore it would in general make sense to have the possibility to create "Mutli-Day Events" for events that take place on two or three consecutive days.

At the moment this has to be solved with the described repeating events. But creating repeating events creates one entry for each day.  It would be useful to group such multi-day events, for e.g. if it is a 3 day event it should only show 1 entry in the upcoming events widget in the overview instead of one entry for each day as seen on the attached screenshot.
