HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Allow users to set different notification interval settings for different communities

Right now notifications are tool-oriented. Meaning the notifications are triggered the same for al content in a certain tool.

So if I set my forum notifications to weekly I will only get a weekly newsletter for all forums I follow or are in a community I follow. Users are members of many communities and don't want to have to receive immediate or daily notifications for everything but the problem is that they often do want to be able to set different settings for the specific communities, forums or blogs they deem most important.

Please add an option to set a different notification level for a individual community, blog, wiki or forum or an option to select communities for which they want to receive immediate or daily notifications.

This is something users are frequently asking, as they want to receive immediate notifications of specific important communities only and for the rest a daily newsletter e.g. would be enough.
Please add that funtctionalty to have the possibility to set the notification preferences also per Community in addition to the default settings.

With MT this is even more important as the settings for Blogs, Wikis and Forums are useless as these apps do not exist standalone
