Disable status updates for multiple file uploads

When uploading many files at once to a community, e.g. pics taken at a trade fair or so, each upload generates a separate status update. So inadvertently I spam all my followers starting page. It's annoying. Why not have a checkbox or message dialog appearing when uploading multiple files to ask users whether they want individual status updates or one single update to be created. The single updates could show thumbnails of the first five or so uploaded files and say something along the lines of "XXXXX has uploaded 23 files to this community. Follow this link to see all of them."
