Button in Web UI to open documents directly in MS Office rather than in IBM Docs.

Currently, documents can be opened either in IBM Docs from the Web UI or in MS Office from the Desktop Plug-In. It would be helpful to have a button in the Web UI that allows to open a document currently being displayed directly in the corresponding MS Office application rather than in MS Docs.

This would take away the effort of leaving the web UI, locating the document in the Windows File Explorer and double-clicking it there.

    This does not exist on cloud. I would reommend to change the status back to under consideration or whatever.

    The round trip editing is not available for IBM Connections Cloud . It is only for on-premises IBM Connections.

    I repeat the question:

    Does this work in IBM Connections Cloud too? And if it does - how and where can I enable it? I could not find such an option.

    All my users are all complaining this. Please improve dramatically IBM Docs and allow round trip editing with a local Desktop Office installation!

    The Connections Administrator can turn on round trip editing, and then this capability is enabled.  (Note:  This capability works for desktop-based Office applications only, not Cloud Office.)
