HCL Connections Ideas Portal

Welcome to the HCL Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the HCL Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our HCL Connections page.

Notifications - allow me as a page editor to make a change and suppress notifies

I wish there was a way to change a page, and NOT send notifications some times (override watches)

Sometimes when you are making alot of edits, you don't want to send a notification to the author of the page for every T-crossing. Watch Overrides would allow for some welcome user control

Hello Andre, maybe having some kind of "edit mode" would also be a solution, so that you have a draft mode for your community instead of reworking the AS. This would also solve the user issue, because this demand is only there, when you are doing a lot of changes in a short time.

We can't suppress the event because the event needs to happen for subsequent actions to properly execute (incl. auditing), so we'd have to extend the Activitystream payload to contain some sort of indication that this event ignores users subscription settings. Would be a significant change and should rather be incorporated into an overarching AS rework
