Welcome to the IBM Connections Product Ideas Lab! The place where you can submit product ideas and enhancement request. We encourage you to participate by voting on, commenting on, and creating new ideas. All new ideas will be evaluated by the IBM Product Management & Engineering teams, and the next steps will be communicated. While not all submitted ideas will be executed upon, community feedback will play a key role in influencing which ideas are and when they will be implemented.

For more information and upcoming events, please visit our IBM Connections page.

Get rid of Linux specific folder information

Connections for Windows uses an inconsistent mix of both Windows and Linux folder information when it comes to slashes and backslashes which makes it difficult for admins to differentiate when to use a slash and when to use a backslash instead.

Below are examples I have seen in our own Windows instance of Connections:

  • D:\folder\folder\folder
  • D:/folder/folder/folder
  • D:\folder/folder\folder
  • D:/folder\\folder/folder

It would make the life of admins easier, if only backslashes or only slashes would be used on Windows instances.

Preferably backslashes of course...
